Kygo Releases New Song “Freeze”
Back in February, Norwegian DJ Kygo teamed up with American pop-rock band DNCE to release “Dancing Feet”.
The track reached No. 6 on the US Hot Dance/Electronic Songs.
Following the song, he released a new song “Freeze” along with a music video.
The 8-minute song was written by Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll, Andrew Jackson, Rory Adams and Duck Blackwell. Produced by Duck Blackwell, and Andrew Jackson who also played vocals on the track.
Kygo first performed the song at Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas earlier this week.
The song is a different sound from his other songs he has released so far.
Kygo shared on social media, “I'm releasing one of my favorite songs I've ever done❤️ It'll be very different from anything I've ever released! It's probably my favorite track I've ever made.”
The accompanying video was directed by Rafatoon and consists of three chapters which center on a young couple's relationship through their memories.
Jumping between past and present as they experience both joy and adversity, the visual serves as a reminder to freeze and live within each precious fleeting moment.
“'Freeze' is a really special record to me,” Kygo said of the song. “I always try experimenting with new sounds and styles and feel that this song is different than anything I've ever release. I'm excited for my fans to hear this one and hope they like it as much as I do.”
