Wynona Releases New Song “Say You Love Me”
Reading-based alt-pop band Wynona released a new song “Say You Love Me” along with a music video on April 7, 2022.
The song received its first play during BBC Music Introducing.
It was written by Natalie Woodward and Richard Willats. Produced by Lachlan West.
The video was directed by Krystal D'Anjou.
The band frontwoman Natalie Woodward said of the song, “'Say You Love' me explores the space between a heartbreak anthem and a love song. I wanted to address that grey area, something that felt more authentic and where realistically most relationships spend their time. It's somewhere between the highs and the lows that we often see portrayed in movies and online. I wanted it to feel real.”
Also, Natalie Woodward appeared on BBC Radio 1's Future Artists and told Jack Saunders about the song, “We were sort of in isolation. But year ago, obviously everyone was it. It was like sort of a, an anti love song, if that makes sense. So it was sort of the part of the relationship that you find yourself in, maybe more than being in the perfect part of the relationship. So it was sort of between the lines of I don't know of heartbreak. It was just like a lot of emotions going on. When that song was written, especially in some of that advice, lyrics as well, that sort of really staples how I was feeling maybe at that point, mixed with sort of nonfiction.”
