Lauren Phillips Releases New Song “MILwAUKEE”
Los Angeles based singer-songwriter Lauren Phillips will release her long-awaited debut album “Handsome Woman” in July 2022.
From the album, she unveiled a new song “MILwAUKEE” along with an animated music video on March 22, 2022.
The song is the follow-up to “The Irish”, which was released back in January.
It was written by Lauren Phillips, Matt McCartney, and Elliott Beenk, who also produced the track.
The animated music video was directed by Mertcan Mertbilek.
Lauren Phillips said of the song, “This is song about being stuck in a different city than my partner and not appreciating the city for it is because I was blinded by loneliness. It also didn't help that it was the heat of the pandemic and no bars or restaurants were open to socialize haha. Im proud of this one. I wanted it to be fun and energetic something that was lacking during that time of my life.”
Also she shared on social media, “I was asked to travel to Milwaukee for a 2 week business trip during the pandemic. It was a weird time and since everything was on lockdown, I decided to take my guitar for the lonely hotel nights…excited for you to hear what I came up with :).”- source : Apple Music
