Caroline Romano Drops New Music Video for “Dizzy”
Back in February, Nashville-based alt-pop singer-songwriter Caroline Romano released her debut album “Oddities & Prodigies”.
The album comprise 16-track and is is a vivid snapshot of Caroline's personal and musical journey from misty-eyed ballads to fiery pop-punk anthems.
From the album, she dropped a new music video for “Dizzy” on March 16, 2022.
The track was written by Caroline Romano, Chuckie Aiello and Michael Aiello. Produced by Will McBeath.
The video was directed by Justin Key. Caroline Romano said of the video, “I wanted the 'Dizzy' video to feel like a melted world of art. I was really inspired by Simon & Garfunkel and Evanescence when writing the song, so I wanted to bring those elements into the visual as well. It's all centered around the line 'All I see are bodies without faces'. I truly can only draw the human figure without a face, so the video sort of likens that line to modern-day interactions. There are people around, but we don't really know them. The video is kind of eerie and unsettling like the song, and it was really cool to experiment with this style of visual for 'Dizzy'.”
Caroline Romano said of the album “this album is everything I know in 16 songs. loud and soft, vibrant and colorless, love and longing. it's youth, yet already being too old. i've got a habit of dramatizing life and writing stories i don't think anyone will ever read, and this is the result. i hope there's not an emotion you can't find in this collection of songs, and i pray you find something in this album to make you smile or cry or dance or scream. i just hope it makes you feel so very much of something.”
SHe continued, “i feel like i've been writing this album for my entire life. since i was a kid, i've dreamt of putting out a collection of music like this, and i can't believe that day is finally here. i am so thankful for everyone who made this possible, and for giving me the chance to turn my irrational adolescence into something pretty and even more dramatic.”
