Brooke Releases New Song “That's Rich” for Ireland's Eurovision Song Contest 2022
Irish alt-pop singer-songwriter Brooke Scullion, aka Brooke released a new song “That's Rich” on January 19, 2022.
The track is her entry song for Ireland's Eurovision Song Contest 2022. It was written by Written by Brooke Scullion, Izzy Warner and Karl Zine.
The song is influenced by Blondie's Debbie Harry. “I was reading Debbie Harry's autobiography and wanted to encapsulate the attitude she portrayed in her life,” Brooke said. “It's surreal to think I could be representing my country in the competition, it would be an honour. Given Ireland's history with a fellow Derry girl like Dana who has done it before, I'm excited to be flying the flag and hope to do everybody proud! I also think in recent years I've been so impressed with the music Eurovision has produced, so am excited to be in the company of the likes of Maneskin and Loreen who are iconic!”- Six entry songs for Ireland's Eurosong 2022, including Brooke's “That's Rich”, will compete for the Irish ticket to Turin during a special broadcast of The Late Late Show in February.
All six songs will then be performed on The Late Late Show on RTÉ One on 4 February. The Irish public will decide its representative for Eurovision 2022 along with input from both a national and international jury.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2022 will take place at the PalaOlimpico in Turin, Italy, and will consist of two semi-finals on 10 and 12 May, and the final on 14 May 2022. - source : Apple Music
