grandson Releases New Remix of “Drop Dead” featuring Kesha & Travis Barker
Canadian-American singer-songwriter Jordan Benjamin, aka grandson teamed up with American singer-songwriter Kesha and blink-182's Travis Barker to release a new remix of “Drop Dead”.
The original version of the song is included on his debut album “Death of an Optimist”, which was released last December.
It was written by Boonn, KRUPA, Travis Barker and grandson.
The accompanying music video was directed by Andrew Sandler.
Jordan Benjamin shared on social media, “This is a special one for me as I grew up mad influenced by both these incredible artists. Accept who you are through good and bad and you become unstoppable. Shouts out Andrew Sandler and everyone involved for the music video made with so much heart.”- qWHZRvgFKy0

He told Apple Music about the song, “If there's any one person who embodies the intersection of hip-hop culture and rock culture, it's Travis Barker. Working with him was really fun. There's just nothing like sitting in the control room while Travis Barker does a pass on the drums—it was just such a gratifying feeling. I'm such a fan of blink-182, I'm a fan of the new Machine Gun Kelly album that he produced, and I wanted that very classic kind of optimism that a blink song makes you feel. Despite all of this static noise, despite all of the ways in which the past is obscured this year, we still just keep putting one foot in front of the other. That was the spirit that I wanted to leave people with.”- source : Spotify
