Canadian singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen has released a new song “Let’s Be Friends” along with a lyric video.
Last year she released her fourth studio album “Dedicated” for the first time in four years. She wrote 200 songs for the album.
The new track follows them. “Let’s Be Friends’ is about the little lie we all share to soften the blow of a breakup,” she explained about the song, “This Valentine’s Day I’d prefer to just rip off the band aid. See you never.”
The pop track was written by Jepsen, Christopher J Baran and Ben Romans, and produced by Baran and Romans.
She kicks off The Dedicated Tour European leg at O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester on February 7th.
