Irish rock band The Script released their sixth studio album “Sunsets & Full Moons” on November 8th. It is their first LP in two years.
The album was preceded by two singles “The Last Time” and “Something Unreal”.
The 9-track album is a sequel to their self-titled debut album, which is based on lead singer Danny O'Donoghue's personal traumatic events.
“I think it’s the most poignant record we’ve ever made,” Danny O'Donoghue said of the album. “Our music was always about being together with the audience, and writing about your own feelings, and sharing them”. He added, “No matter how deep and dark it gets, it’s going to be daylight again.”
“No frills, no production, just us playing as a band,” said guitarist Mark Sheehan. “It’s us doing what we do best.”
The Script will embark on a European tour in 2020 in support of the album. The tour kicks off at M&S Bank Arena Liverpool in Liverpool on February 20, 2020.
