Born in New York, Australia the dark-pop artist Valencia James has released a debut song “Flames”.
The song was inspired the tragic story of when her family home was burnt down in the infamous Waldo Canyon fire in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
“I use songwriting to get out my aggression/frustrations in life and it’s pretty obvious when you listen to this song,” Valencia James said.
“This song took a lot of interesting turns as I was writing it,” she explained. “It was inspired by my mom’s house physically burning down, breakdowns in relationships, and even putting myself into the culprit’s shoes.”
“The song also represents how easily a relationship can be destroyed through words and actions,” she said. “anyone that has ever had relationship difficulties or been hurt because of words or actions can probably relate to this song”.- source : idobi Network
