Elise Hayes Releases New Song “Giving Up”
Last November Nashville-based singer-songwriter Elise Hayes released “Float” for the first time in two years.
Five months later, she unveiled a new song “Giving Up”. The new song is rhythmic electro-pop sound unlike previous ballad song.
Elise Hayes said of the song, “Over the past couple of years, I’ve had a few girlfriends get dumped by guys that were never good enough for them. Each time, the dude has been like, ‘I can’t do this. I’m giving up’ and to me, it’s like — wait, do you really know what you’re giving up? Do you realize how good you had it? I just wanted to write this song for every girl (or guy) that’s been broken up with as a reminder that you’re worth so much with or without a dude, and sometimes someone leaving you is the greatest gift, even if it’s hard to see at the time.”- source : Substream Magazine
