Halsey Performs “Without Me” and Juice WRLD's “Lucid Dreams” on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge
American singer-songwriter Halsey appeared on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, where she performed her latest song “Without Me” and cover of Juice WRLD's “Lucid Dreams”.
“Without Me” is the first new song since her 2017 album "Hopeless Fountain Kingdom". She premiered the song on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 Radio show.
The song was written about friends, past relationships and her present relationship.
On the radio program, she explained that it was the first time writing a song as Ashley (her real name) and not as Halsey, and added that here it’s not protected by a character like in her previous works.
Also, she stated it's stand-alone record. "I cried the whole time I recorded it. But now I feel proud. And empowered." she said.
“Lucid Dreams” was released by American rapper Juice WRLD back in March. Originally, he shared the song via SoundCloud in 2017.
The track was sampled from "Rise & Fall " by Craig David and "Shape of My Heart" by Sting.
The song reached No.2 on the US Billboard Hot 100.- gH4a7dzhx7Y
