American singer-songwriter Janet Jackson premiered a new music video for “Made For Now” directed by Dave Meyers.
She teamed up with Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee for the song. The video was shot last month in New York.
In the the clip, the song inspires a bevy of dancers to take to the streets of Brooklyn for a celebratory gathering.
Director Dave Meyers recently created Ariana Grande’s “God Is A Woman” and Camila Cabello's “Havana” with Young Thug.
Janet Jackson announced that she partnered with indie distributor, label and publisher Cinq Music for a recording and distribution agreement through her own label, Rhythm Nation Records.
The new song marks her debut with the new label. It was written by Randy Jackson (J5), Daddy Yankee, Thomas Lumpkins, Edgar "JV" Etienne, Donnell Shawn Butler, Al Sherrod Lambert, Varren Wade, Harmony Samuels and Janet Jackson.
She will perform the new song along with Daddy Yankee for the first time live on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday, August 18th.
