  • Franz Ferdinand Performs “Glimpse of Love” on Jimmy Kimmel Live

  • Scottish indie rock band Franz Ferdinand appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where the band performed five-song mini-set including “Glimpse of Love”.

    “Glimpse of Love” was released on February 9, 2018 as the fourth single from their fifth studio album “Always Ascending”.
    It was written by Paul Thomson, Alex Kapranos, Bob Hardy and Julian Corrie. A music video for “Glimpse of Love” was premiered on April 23, directed by Alice Kunisue.
    The band performed "Finally," "Lois Lane", "Paper Cages" and "Darts of Pleasure", which were "off-air" performances.
    Unfortunately, the band did not perform their 2003's smash hit "Take Me Out".

    Frontman Alex Kaprano told Rolling Stone in an interview;
    "You hear stories about bands resenting songs that they've written in the past, because they've become popular, and, to me, that just seems absurd. If you're sick of playing the song, just don't play the song anymore and don't moan about it. You know? ["Take Me Out"] is a good song to play. I like it."

  • The new album is infused their dance-music. “We didn’t even know what we were working on or that it was going to be made into a Franz Ferdinand record. It felt like we had completely started up afresh.”
    The album was released on February 9, 2018 and reached number 6 on the UK Albums Cahrt. Also the album reached number 2 on the UK Independent Albums Cahrt and number 1 on the US Billboard Independent Albums.
    The band has currently toured a world tour since February through to September 2018. Also the band will appear on BBC Music's Biggest Weekend on May 25th.
