Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Shawn Mendes Premieres New Song “Youth” featuring Khalid
Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes will release his upcoming self-titled third studio album on May 25th via Island Records.
He teamed up with American singer-songwriter Khalid and unveiled a new song “Youth” from the album. The song followas up "In My Blood" and "Lost in Japan".
It was written by Teddy Geiger, Scott Harris, Geoff Warburton, Khalid and Shawn Mendes.
The album will also feature a collaboration with Julia Michaels, titled "Like to Be You."
He said of the song;
"[Youth] is the most important song on the album. I was touring around Europe when the events of Manchester and London happened, it was very overwhelming. I wanted to write something but it had to be about the feeling for us as a generation when one of these things happens. So I wrote a song about our youth, a feeling that can’t be taken away from us."-
