- The Aces Premieres New Song “Just Like That” on SoundCloud
- Orem-based pop group The Aces has delivered a new song "Just Like That" via Red Bull Records. The song is following "Fake Nice" and taken from their upcoming debut album "When My Heart Felt Volcanic". It was written by Alisa Ramirez, Cristal Ramirez, McKenna Petty and Katie Henderson.
The track has 16 beat rhythm section with synths like '80s pop-rock.
The debut album comprises of 13-track including 8 unreleased tracks and is expected to be released on April 6, 2018.
The band told NPR, "This song is about getting empowered and deciding to cut the final ties to a person that never deserved you. Hopefully you'll scream it in your room and heal along with us."
- The Aces was formed in 2008 by singer and guitarist Cristal Ramirez, guitarist Katie Henderson, bass player McKenna Petty, and drummer Alisa Ramirez (Cristal's sister). They began performing under the name the Blue Aces. In 2012, they issued a seven-song EP.
The band signed to Red Bull Records in 2016 and released the single "Stuck" in March. "Stuck" racked up more than two million plays on streaming services, and gave them their first taste of national success.
The band released a debut EP "I Don't Like Being Honest" last June.
