"Hip-Hop Honors: The ’90s Game Changers" was aired on September 18. This event is the extra mile of Hip-Hop Honors with the 2017 edition by VH1 in Los Angeles on Paramount’s storied lot. This year’s host was Girls Trip star Regina Hall.
The network paid special tribute to the likes of Master P, Jermaine Dupri, Hype Williams, Mariah Carey and Martin Lawrence.
Fellow legend Missy Elliott kicked off the show with a rousing performance of her 1999 hit, “She’s a Bitch” complete with the infamous black makeup.
Besides Elliott, the performance roster included Carey, Lil’ Kim, Trina and Trick Daddy, Remy Ma, Xscape, and a special tribute to Jermaine Dupri and Master P.
