Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Allie X Premieres New Music Video for “Paper Love”
Canadian singer-songwriter Allie X dropped a new music video for "Paper Love" directed by Renata Raksha, who is a photographer for i-D, Le Roy, Nylon, New Yorker, Neon, Dazed and more.
The song is the first single off her debut album "CollXtion II", which was released on June 9, 2017. The track was written by Alexandra Hughes, Brett McLaughlin and George Pimentel.
She has currently toured "#CLXII Tour" to promote the debut album in North America and Europe.

About the new video, she said;
"Initially, when I spoke with director Renata Raksha about what we envisioned for the video, we both agreed we wanted to express a kind of transformation, as well as a paralysis. Becoming a doll who is gradually defaced was a perfect representation of these ideas. The video in part is a reminder to myself that acting this way is unsustainable and can be very damaging and it is better to be myself."- Allie X debuted as Allie Hughes in Canada in 2006. She moved to Los Angeles and released a debut song "Catch" as Allie X in 2014.
She released her debut EP "CollXtion I" in Canada and the second EP "Catch" in US in 2015, respectively.
She wrote seven track as co-writer for Australian singer-songwriter Troye Sivan's debut album "Blue Neighbourhood".
Recently, she joined in Seohyun's debut solo EP "Don't Say No", in which she wrote "Moonlight". -
