Lauren Jauregui Releases New Song “Scattered” featuring Vic Mensa
- Last week, former Fifth Harmony and American singer-songwriter Lauren Jauregui released the lead single “Colors” from her upcoming debut solo project “Prelude”.
Following the song, she unveiled a new song “Scattered” from the project on October 15, 2021.
This time, she teamed up with American rapper Vic Mensa on the track.
It was written by Charity Croff, VIC MENSA and Lauren Jauregui.
Lauren Jauregui shared on social media, “'Scattered' is out and the featured artist is my talented friend, Vic Mensa. Vic I can't thank you enough for lending your skill to this song, you are such a talented lyricist/expresser and I'm grateful that you met me with your heart on this song✨ our mental health struggles are universal; beyond the binaries of gender, beyond the color of our skin, the human experience (although different in a myriad of beautiful and not so beautiful ways) is a whirlwind and my prayer for this song is that you feel less alone in those thoughts that overwhelm you sometimes.”
“The transparency and the vulnerability, that's what drew me into the song “Scattered,” Vic Mensa explained. “I've come to realize that when I speak about the myriad of mental issues I go through, and speak about them honestly and with no short-cuts, not only is it a catharsis for me, it's also valuable for the world because so many people are going through the same manifestations.”
The debut project is expected to be released in 2021. She said in a statement, “Deep gratitude to be able to finally birth the beginning of this project into the world. PRELUDE is a piece of my heart, and I can't wait for you all to hear what that sounds like.”
