American Jazz singer Tony Bennett and singer-songwriter Lady Gaga will release their second collaborative album “Love For Sale” on October 1, 2021.
On September 17, the pair released the album title track along with a music video.
Cole Porter wrote “Love For Sale” for the musical The New Yorkers, which debuted on Broadway in 1930.
Tony Bennett recorded his own version of the song in 1957.
The song was covered by many artist like Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, and Elvis Costello.
Lady Gaga shared on social media, “Tony, this is the last album we will have created together, but the celebration of jazz, and us as musical companions, will live on with me forever. We offer the public “Love For Sale” for free love, to make them smile, because that's what we're here for. ❤️ Love, LG”
To promote the new album, Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga also partnered with ViacomCBS for a multi-project takeover of the media company's networks scheduled for the months ahead.
CBS will air its “One Last Time: An Evening With Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett” concert special on November 28. The hour-long show is the filmed rendering of the two concerts the pair did at Radio City Music Hall in August.
Followed by “MTV Unplugged: Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga” and the documentary “The Lady and The Legend” available exclusively via Paramount Plus later this winter.- source : Spotify
