American rapper Kanye West's tenth studio album “Donda” was released on August 29, 2021, via GOOD Music, and was distributed by Def Jam Recordings.
But after the release of the album, Kanye West wrote on Instagram, “UNIVERSAL PUT MY ALBUM OUT WITHOUT MY APPROVAL AND THEY BLOCKED JAIL 2 FROM BEING ON THE ALBUM.”
Initially, “Jail pt 2” faced backlash as it features both Marilyn Manson and DaBaby, then the track was being held up.
West posted a screenshot of a conversation apparently with DaBaby himself, “Yo manager cap. They tried to stop you from coming in. The people next to you trying to destroy you. But God gotta bigger plan.”
The track was unavailable when the album first appeared on streaming services, but became available now.
Originally, the album was supposed to be released on July 23d, but then the project experienced multiple delays.
Kanye West set three times listening party event for the album at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the Soldier Field Stadium between July and August.
The album is named after his mother, Donda West who died in 2007. It is his first album in two years.
The album comprises of 27-track, featuring guest appearances from Baby Keem, Chris Brown, Conway the Machine, DaBaby, Don Toliver, Fivio Foreign, Francis and the Lights, Jay Electronica, JAY-Z, KayCyy, Kid Cudi, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Lil Yachty, The LOX, Marilyn Manson, Playboi Carti, Pop Smoke, Roddy Ricch, Rooga, Shenseea, Stalone, Sunday Service Choir, Syleena Johnson, Travis Scott, Ty Dolla $ign, Vory, The Weeknd, Westside Gunn, The World Famous Tony Williams and Young Thug.- source : Apple Music
