American rock band Imagine Dragons has dropped a new music video for “Cutthroat”.
The song was released back in March, alongside “Follow You”. It was written by Wayne Sermon, Daniel Platzman, Dan Reynolds and Ben McKee.
The video was directed by Matt Eastin, starring Olivia Munn and Adrian Martinez.
Dan Reynolds said of the song, “It's an exorcism of self pity. An examination of my life—finding that I am beyond blessed—and trying to rid myself of all the meaningless things that have burdened me. Killing the part of me that spends its days lamenting about things that bear no real meaning or worth. Finding that at the end of the day only one Dan will prevail, and it's the one that loves myself. Loves my past. My present. Loves my mistakes and problems. My weaknesses. My illness. One that wakes every day grateful for life. That lives fully and is a present for those that I love.”

Recently, the band announced a cover song video competition for “Follow You” and “Cutthroat”.
The band said, “we want to see your best versions of Follow You and Cutthroat... starting TODAY we're launching a cover song video competition - the winner will get $20,000 courtesy of Spry Dental Defense System and we'll be calling you on zoom to celebrate.”
