Jérémie & The Delicious Hounds Releases New Song “Stuck in Quarantine” featuring Cityreal & Roman Clarke
Canadian soul-funk & blues-rock band Jérémie & The Delicious Hounds returned with a new song “Stuck in Quarantine”.
The song is the first single off of their upcoming debut album “Cruel”, which is expected to be released in 2021.
The band teamed up with Vancouver hip-hop artist/producer Cityreal and Winnipeg singer-songwriter Roman Clarke on the track. This marks the first collaboration between three artists.
The debut album follows up the 2017 self-titled EPs, and features English and French tracks.
Frontman Jérémie Brémault said of the song, “'Stuck in Quarantine' is the first single from the upcoming Jérémie & The Delicious Hounds debut LP, Cruel, with both English and French tracks. Feeling heartbroken by our inability to play live shows, I was inspired to turn a grim situation into a great song, which typically for us is a combination of new-age funk/blues/soul sounds with a bilingual twist.”- He continued, “It's our first official collaboration, with hip-hop artist Cityreal, and singer-songwriter Roman Clarke, who laid down this great rhythmic wave of percussion before 'Stuck in Quarantine' was mixed by Roger Swan (k-os, Rascalz). It was a real team effort producing this song. Everyone's creative input and musicality comes through.”
He added, “I had moved out on my own for the first time just before the lockdowns started. I felt completely secluded and worlds apart, clinging to some sort of connection with others thanks to modern day technology. 'Stuck in Quarantine' has romantic roots, about navigating a relationship during these circumstances. It's tough, so I hope this song can bring you some solace.” - source : Spotify
