  • Demi Lovato Performs Three Songs on NPR Music Tiny Desk (Home) Concert

  • American singer-songwriter Demi Lovato appeared on NPR Music Tiny Desk (Home) Concert to perform “Tell Me You Love Me”, “The Art Of Starting Over” and “Dancing With The Devil”.

She recorded three songs with keyboard player Steven "Styles" Rodriguez in her Los Angeles backyard.
“Tell Me You Love Me” was released in 2017 from her sixth studio album of the same name. At that time, Demi Lovato said of the song, “I not only love singing it, but I think the underlying meaning is important for people to know. At the end of the day, you have everything you need standing right in front of you. And that's yourself.”
“The Art Of Starting Over” and “Dancing With The Devil” are included on her latest album “Dancing with the Devil... the Art of Starting Over”, which was released on April 2, 2021.
  • She said of “The Art Of Starting Over” via Apple Music, “This song came about in a writers' camp for the album that took place in Malibu. When they played me the idea, I remember I jumped on it right away. I've been obsessed with the song ever since and knew it was going to be the title track.”
She said of “Dancing With The Devil”, “I wrote this song with a really good friend of mine named Blush at the end of 2018. That was a very difficult year for me, and I wanted to tell that story in a song. It was really important to me that I introduced that song in the documentary. I remember playing it for Ratty, the director, and we decided we should name the documentary Dancing With the Devil. It's so significant and means so much to me.”
