British singer-songwriter MARINA, formerly Marina and the Diamonds, announced her upcoming fifth studio album “Ancient Dreams In A Modern Land” will be released on June 11, 2021 via Atlantic Records.
It is her first album in two years. The album comprises of 10-track, produced by Jennifer Decilveo and Marina Diamandis. She wrote songs in Paros in 2020.
From the album, she premiered a new song “Purge the Poison” on April 14th. It is the second single off of the album, following “Man's World” released last November.
The accompanying music video was directed by Weird Life Films.
The song draws historic pop culture moments like Britney Spears shaving her head, Harvey Weinstein, and the MeToo movement.
Also, it is written the reaction to statistics that only two per cent of producers and three per cent of engineers across popular music are women.
