Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Tinashe Releases Cover of Chaka Khan's “I'm Every Woman”
American singer-songwriter Tinashe joined in the EP “Black History Always / Music For the Movement Vol. 2”, which is part of an ongoing project between ESPN's The Undefeated and Hollywood Records.
She covered “I'm Every Woman” on the EP. The original version of the song was released by Chaka Khan from her debut solo studio album “Chaka” in 1978.
Also, the song is better known for Whitney Houston's version, which was recorded for her film “The Bodyguard” soundtrack in 1993.
Tinashe shared on social media, “Thank you ESPN & @undefeatedespn for having me apart of “BLACK HISTORY ALWAYS” EP, a celebration of black history in music and sports.
As we transition from black history month to women's history month, i felt it was the perfect time to put my own spin on this ICONIC classic by @chakaikhan 'I'm every woman' 💕 The original version is amazing and the song has also been covered by the goddess Whitney Houston so even breathing on this track feels like a huge honor 😅🙏🏽🥺
