  • PJ Harding Teams Up With Noah Cyrus for New Song “Dear August”

  • Australian singer-songwriter THIEF, aka PJ Harding released his debut song “Dear August” on February 12, 2021.

PJ Harding debuted as THIEF in 2013. But this time, he released the song as PJ Harding.
He teamed up with American singer-songwriter Noah Cyrus again on the track.
Last year, he co-wrote "I Got So High That I Saw Jesus", "July", "Young & Sad" and "The End of Everything" for Noah Cyrus' sophomore EP “The End of Everything”.
The track was written by Thief and Noah Cyrus. The accompanying music video was directed by Matt Earl.
PJ Harding shared on social media, “I meet Noah a few years ago at a writing camp an Bari and felt almost immediately that a we had a bunch of music make together. The first day we worked together we wrote July and Noah said to me that day we should start a band. I thought she was kidding, but two years and many songs later we've actually done just that! I couldn't be more excited for this project, the first single of which comes out this Friday. It's a little letter of hope to the future we wrote during a very dark time, and in so excited for you all to hear it.”
  • Noah Cyrus said, “As many of you nay or may not know, PJ and I found each other at a writing camp in Bari a few years ago. I was terrified and anxious, worried about fitting in with the 'pop' scene that I was surrounded by there but lurkingly I found PJ and I knew everything changed - not only did we write July, we are forever grateful for the love and response on, but I Little Ally told him I wanted to start a band together that first day we meet - and over the past 6-12 months my wish come true, as we've created a beautiful body of work together during some of the toughest of months through soon sessions and facetimes. I am so excited to show 'Dear August' the first of six songs - six purrle pieces - that form this project. It's the one that a really started the entire process for us.It started in a really dark rime, one which we've all still going through together. we wrote it about where we were both at personally at the time, and it ended being a latter for the future, palette for hope.”
