Canadian singer-songwriter JP Saxe teamed up with American country music singer-songwriter Maren Morris to release a new song “Line By Line” on January 14, 2021.
It was written by JP Saxe and Maren Morris. The accompanying music video was directed by Nick Leopold.
This marks the first collaboration between JP Saxe and Maren Morris.
“As songwriters we spend a lot of our lives trying to bottle up a feeling into a song, and often, the biggest feelings, the best ones… the complicated, detailed, messy, incredible ones… just aren't going to fit,” JP Saxe said. “'Line by Line' is our recognition of that… of how one song just isn't enough to capture it all, but how we're just going to keep writing, futilely and lovingly, anyway.”
JP Saxe was nominated for the 2021 Grammy Awards for Song of the Year with “If the World Was Ending” featuring American singer-songwriter Julia Michaels.
Meanwhile, Maren Morris was nominated for Best Country Song with “The Bones” at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.
