Harry Styles Premieres New Music Video for “Treat People With Kindness”
British singer-songwriter Harry Styles premiered a new music video for “Treat People With Kindness” on January 1, 2021.
The song appeared on his sophomore album “Fine Line”, which was released in 2019.
The track was written by Ilsey, Jeff Bhasker and Harry Styles. The video was directed by Ben Turner and Gabe Turner. Starring Harry Styles and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
Harry Styles said of the song, “I told Jeff, I would love to someday write a song called 'Treat People With Kindness.' And he was like, 'Why don't you just do it?' It made me uncomfortable at first, because I wasn't sure what it was—but then I wanted to lean into that. I feel like that song opened something that's been in my core.”
Treat People With Kindness is a slogan used by Harry Styles to promote his message of love, acceptance and kindness to people.
He started using the slogan on his debut concert tour in 2017 along with the tour merchandise.
He said, “It was a pin I had on my guitar strap and we made t-shirts for it, then I saw a lot of t-shirts around. I'd be driving or something and see someone in one and I started feeling like, 'Oh this is a bit of a thing'”. This gave him the idea of writing a song to go with the slogan titled “Treat People with Kindness”.
Also, he was nominated for 2021 Grammy Awards for Best Pop Vocal Album with “Fine Line”, Best Pop Solo Performance with “Watermelon Sugar” and Best Music Video with “Adore You”.- source : New York Post
