Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ BENEE Performs “Happen To Me” on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
New Zealand alt-pop singer-songwriter BENEE appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to perform “Happen To Me”.
This marks the second time she has appeared on the US TV. She made debut on US TV back in June performing “Supalonely” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The song “Happen To Me” is included her debut album “Hey U X”, which was released on November 13th.
She told Apple Music about the song, “This is probably is my favourite track on the album, possibly my favourite song that I've made. I sing about my anxiety, which I've only had to deal with in the last few years. I can't go to a shop by myself without freaking out. I write about my fear of flying, about someone kidnapping me or me burning in fire, all these terrible things that could possibly happen. It's really silly.”
The album features guest appearances from Grimes, Gus Dapperton, Lily Allen, Flo Milli, Mallrat, Kenny Beats, Bakar and Muroki.- source : CBS
