Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Finn Matthews released his fourth single of 2020 called “Closing In” on October 9th.
The song is taken from his upcoming debut album “Sunny Daze”. Finn Matthews said of the song, “The song is about a feeling more than a specific situation. It’s about the feeling that you’re coming upon something beautiful, but you’re not really sure how it’s going to manifest itself. I really believe that every person and thing emits its own energy, and sometimes you can feel it in a very real way. I wanted to make a song that captures the feeling of chasing that.”
The debut album is expected to be released later this year. He told Popular TV about album, “The biggest thing I’ve learned while creating the album is that nothing is done until its done. There are certain songs that come super easily to me and I can finish them in a day, like my song IDK, then there are songs that I really have to work for, even changing the whole direction and sound until it’s perfect. I’ve had to learn how detach myself from my art to make the best possible product. In the past when I’ve been too emotionally attached to my music its actually held me back from reaching my full potential as an artist.”- source : Popular TV
