Los Angeles-based alt-rock singer-songwriter Zoe Zobrist has released the second single of 2020 entitled “All My Friends Are Dead”, following “Who You Gonna Be”.
The accompanying music video was filmed by Abner Jacques and Ingrid Iversen.
“When I wrote this song, I had just turned 23,” Zoe Zobrist said of the song. “It seemed like time was flying by at an uncontrollable rate and LA felt like a pressure cooker. I ended up in this state of being numbed out and just felt sort of dead inside. A lot of the people around me seemed to as well but they just kept going and going. The contrast of those feelings with the upbeat groove of the instrumentation was a cathartic way to work myself out of that space.”- Zoe Zobrist is an alt-rock singer-songwriter from Dallas, Texas. She has spent the better half of her career performing and touring across North America.
She debuted with her fist single “Hail Mary” in 2018.
In 2019, she was featured in John Mellencamp's tour documentary which played on-screen during his “John Mellencamp Show” North American Tour.
