Four Of Diamonds Teams Up With Mr Eazi for New Song “The Writer”
British girl group Four Of Diamonds teamed up with Nigerian singer-songwriter Mr Eazi to release a new song “The Writer”.
The track is the third single of 2020, following “Let Me Love you” and “Superstar”.
The accompanying music video was directed by Chris Turner, aka Favourite Colour: Black.
“The idea developed from a number of key references - from Paul Auster’s Travels in the Scriptorium to Dolly Parton’s Nine to Five, with a tiny dash of Jack Torrence - to reflect the key message of the song, about being the author of your own narrative,” Chris Turner said of the video. “Following on from our Long Way to Go video, the Four of Diamonds girls displayed their relentless work ethic once again and turned a pre-Covid, rushed shoot day into a genuine pleasure.”
After the release of the song, the group shared, “We’ve taken some time out on posting about our music as we wanted to show full solidarity with the Black lives matter movement. By us posting music related posts again is not us saying this is the end. All four of us have taken and will continue to take time to learn and educate ourselves and others and will continue to fully support the movement in every way we can possible.”- source : Promonews
