The Lumineers Premieres New Music Video for “Left For Denver”
Earlier this month, American folk rock band The Lumineers released “Leader Of The Landslide” from their upcoming third studio album “III”.
Following the song, the band unveiled a new song “Left For Denver” along with the music video directed by Kevin Phillips.
The song is one of three tracks about Junior Sparks, one of three characters that make up the story of “III”. Junior is the grandson of Gloria Sparks, who is the subject of the III lead single, "Gloria." The third character is Jimmy Sparks, Gloria's son.
The album is due out September 13, 2019. And Kevin Phillips directed 10 cinematic music videos for “III”. The band member Jeremiah Fraites told Rolling Stone, “The album sonically feels differently. Conceptually, it’s a bit darker and has more elements the Lumineers fans aren’t used to. It felt different to put the album out, and what better way to do something different than with Kevin?”
The Lumineers will launch a U.S. headlining tour in support of the album starting January 2020.
