elijah woods Announces New EP “Hey There Elijah”, Shares New Song “Sunlight!”
Toronto-based singer-songwriter elijah woods has announced his upcoming EP “Hey There Elijah” will be released on September 27, 2024.
The 6-track EP is a captivating exploration of life's complexities, wrapped in a sound that's both familiar and refreshingly new, seamlessly blending nostalgic pop soundscapes with edgy indie-rock undertones.
elijah woods said of the EP, "It's a blend of the emotions tied to turning 30, introspective lyrics about love, and personal stories, capturing everything I've been through in the last few years. Ultimately, this EP is my quest for maturity.”
From the EP, he released a new song “Sunlight!” on September 6, 2024.
The song is a powerful anthem of resilience, capturing the essence of finding hope and light even in the darkest moments.
The track was written and produced by elijah woods. The accompanying music video was directed by Shamlo Faek.- elijah woods said of the song, “This is the house I grew up in with my dad and brother. We had no power or running water or electricity, completely off the grid. I think it’s 350 square feet haha. I went back there a few months ago and shot the ‘Sunlight!’ video in it with my dad’s band and it brought back so many incredible memories of my childhood, and I thought there was no better visual context to this project. This EP has been all about me checking in with myself, and finding home again.”
