  • Brian Ray Announces New Album “My Town”, Shares New Song “When The Earth Was Round”

  • American guitarist Brian Ray, who is better known a guitarist of Paul McCartney's touring band, has announced his upcoming solo album “My Town” will be released on August 2, 2024 via Wicked Cool Records.

It is his first solo album in 14 years since the 2010 album “This Way Up”.
The album is a compilation of singles and comprises a 10-track, in which he has released with Wicked Cool Records since 2017, including “Here For You”, 2022's “On My Way To You”, and a cover of Willie Dixon's “I Ain't Superstitious”, along with four brand-new tracks.
The album features guest appearances from Smokey Robinson, Michael Des Barres, and Gia Ciambotti.

Brian Ray said of the album, “As rich as my experiences have been playing and writing for others, there's nothing quite like writing, producing, and playing for my own solo releases.”

He added, “These songs have been a labor of love. I hope you dig listening as much as we enjoyed making them, and I can't wait for you to hear the new unreleased tracks.”
  • From the album, he unveiled a new song “When The Earth Was Round” on June 7, 2024.
The track was written and produced by Brian Ray.
The accompanying music video was directed by Frits Jan Smit and Brian Ray.

Brian Ray said of the song, “My new single is about romance in a post-truth world.”
