Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Nikitch & Alexis Moutzouris Announce Debut EP “II”, Shares New Song “Sans Titres”
French DJ Nicolas Morant, aka Nikitch has joined forces with Greek composer and saxophonist Alexis Moutzouris for their debut EP “II”.
The EP comprises a 6-track and is set to be released on May 28, 2024.
The pair decided to call the project “II” (“deux” in French) to denote the coming together of the two of them.
From the EP, they released the first single called “Sans Titres” onApril 23, 2024.
The track was written by Alexis Moutzouris.
Greeted by a solo clarinet riff, the song sees husky, late-night jazz meet trappy 808 bass and afrobeat-leaning percussion. As the track unfurls, saxophone and flute play in unison, guiding the ear through landscapes of obscure shadows and illuminating light. Amidst the layers of synthesisers, distant echoes of choirs beckon, intertwined with a cyclical theme that rings throughout.- On the debut EP, the rhythmic palette of Nikitch's electronic music seamlessly intertwines with the enchanting melodies of Alexis Moutzouris, creating a cohesive musical narrative.
