  • Tally Spear Releases New Song “Want To Want You”

  • London-based pop-rock singer-songwriter Tally Spear released a new song “Want To Want You” on April 12, 2024.

The song received its first play during BBC Radio 1's Future Alternative with Nels Hylton.
The track is the second single of 2024, following “Here Comes The Rain”.
Both songs were written by Tally Spear.

Tally Spear told Punk Head about the song, “I think we've all wished we could control our emotions over certain situations, and feel differently about someone or something. Sometimes, we can't help just not wanting to continue a relationship we're in, even when it's not the other person's fault. Who would we choose to fall in love with if we could control our emotions... and why? I think that's an interesting concept. This song explores confusion surrounding sexuality and emotions, I guess.”
  • The previous song “Here Comes The Rain” was released back in February and featured on BBC Radio 1's Future Alternative as with “Want To Want You”.
Also, recently, Mollie King of BBC Radio 1's Radio 1's Future Pop picked up the song.

She said of “Here Comes The Rain”, “Here Comes The Rain is me thinking out loud, questioning my choices, asking what am I meant to do when something I used to love (a career choice,- passion) is now causing so much pain? The song is about the search for meaning and contentment in the day-to-day grind, and struggling to find the silver linings in the clouds.”

  • London born Tally Spear shares her introspective lyrics through fierce punk-inspired choruses and hooks.
Her music is characterised by her honest and authentic approach to songwriting, with lyrics that explore themes of self-discovery, love and loss.
