  • Cadet Carter Releases New Song “My Favourite Place” featuring Kayleigh Goldsworthy

  • Munich-based rock band Cadet Carter, consisting of Nick Sauter (vocals/guitar), Matze Frommelt (bass), Benny Shit (drums) and Korbinian Lauxen (guitar), teamed up with American singer-songwriter Kayleigh Goldsworthy to release a new song “My Favourite Place” on March 8, 2024.

The song is the third single off of their upcoming fourth studio album “Self Maintenance”, which is set to be released on April 12, 2024.
The track was written by Benjamin Paska, Korbinian Lauxen, Matthäus Frommelt, and Nick Sauter.
The accompanying music video was directed by Korbi Lauxen.
The band said of the song, “We met Kayleigh on our 2019 tour supporting Dave Hause. She was part of his band and she would also be the opening act on most of the nights. We got along really well and we've been admiring her as an artist, a singer and songwriter and an advocate for independent musicians ever since. When we asked her about singing on one of our songs she was kind enough to say yes and then, just like that, she took the song to a whole new level.“
  • They continued, “The song itself is about finding your personal safe space. It could be an actual place or just a place in the back of your head that you go to whenever you feel like it. It might not necessarily be a happy place all the time, but it's a safe space to calm down and have some peace of mind in troubling times like these.”

  • The new album comprises 10-track, featuring guest appearances from Have Mercy and Kayleigh Goldsworthy.
It is the first release under their new label Austria-based Punk Rock label SBÄM Records.
“All these songs are like little odes to taking care of yourself and focusing on what's good in life rather than letting the more gloomy side of your character win,” the band lead singer Nick Sauter said of the album. “Many of these songs are about keeping yourself together and the mundane activities we do to keep ourselves alive and function adequately in society. I think it's something not only I but many people struggle with, so we decided to write some songs about it.”
