Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Holysseus Fly Releases New Song “Out Of This World”
Bristol-based singer-songwriter Holysseus Fly released a new song “Out Of This World” on March 8, 2024.
The song is the first music since the debut EP “Birthpool”, which was last November.
Arriving on International Women's Day, the track was written and produced in her home studio, manifesting hope for the future through the lens of her delving into darkness while searching for the light.
Holysseus Fly said of the song, “In Out of This World I am imagining building my life like I'm building a house. I wrote and produced the song at home and shot the artwork there too. It's a manifestation of hope for the future. To take myself, my family and community out of this world and up into the sky. It even features a sample I took of jingling my house keys.”- She continued, “The opening line, 'Your window is stuck in its frame', outlines how I was seeing things through a negative perspective. I was at home looking out at the world feeling deflated. The window in your home literally frames how you see the world.”
she added, “'I'll build them up', is me reinforcing the walls of my house, laying the foundations for my future. I am determined to break through the glass ceiling. 'The blue' is to me the unknown that lies ahead, whatever that is, the uncertainty of it all that I am willing to ride out to go out of this world. That's what this song is about.”
She will support British singer and songwriter Nick Mulvey UK Tour. The tour kicks off at O2 Academy Leeds in Leeds on March 16, 2024.
