USHER Releases New Song “Ruin” with Pheelz
American singer-songwriter USHER teamed up with Nigerian record producer Pheelz to release a new song “Ruin” on February 2, 2024.
The song is the third single off of his upcoming ninth studio album “COMING HOME”, which is due out on February 9, 2024.
The track was written by Ndumiso Manana, Philip Kayode Moses, and Usher Raymond IV. Produced by Pheelz.
The accompanying music video was directed by Dave Meyers, who also directed USHER's 2001 music video for “U Remind Me”.
The clip, shot entirely on iPhone 15 Pro, it uses home as the allegory for love as USHER explores different meanings of it through a number of scenes throughout.- The new album comprises a 20=track, featuring collaborations with Burna Boy, Summer Walker, 21 Savage, Latto, The-Dream, H.E.R., Pheelz, and Jungkook.
USHER said of the album, “I put a lot of heart and time into making sure that this was curated right. Something that felt like this next chapter of my life. It's the next frontier, the next chapter of my legacy.”
He continued, “This marks the first album I've put out as an independent artist. That's a very important part. Sure, legacy is a part of what got me here.”
Also, he will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show in Las Vegas on February 11, 2024. - source : Apple Music
