Lil Nas X “Where Do We Go Now?” from HBO Documentary “Lil Nas X: Long Live Montero”
American rapper Lil Nas X released a new song “Where Do We Go Now?” just two weeks after releasing the single “J CHRIST” on January 26, 2024.
The song is written for his upcoming documentary “Lil Nas X: Long Live Montero”, which is set to be released on January 27, 2024 via HBO.
The film follows Lil Nas X over the course of 60 days, as he embarks on his first-ever US headlining tour, called “Long Live Montero Tour”.
In addition to tour footage, the documentary includes interviews with reflecting on his career and sexuality.
The film was directed by Carlos López Estrada and Zac Manuel, and premiered at the Toronto Film Festival on September 9, 2023.
The song was written by Blake Slatkin, Montero Hill, and Omer Fedi. Produced by Omer Fedi and Blake Slatkin.

The previous song “J CHRIST” stirred controversy with cover artwork and a music video that spoofed various biblical stories.
Lil Nas X shared on social media, “This is not to try to get everybody on my good side or whatnot. This is more so to clear my head about my own decisions. I know I messed up really bad this time. And I can act unbothered all I want but it's definitely taking a mental toll on me.”
