Caity Baser, CMAT, Sekou & Elmiene Perform on BBC Radio 1's Sound Of 2024
On January 5, BBC Radio 1 announced that BBC Radio 1's Sound Of 2024 winners.
Sound of... is an annual BBC poll of music critics and industry figures to find the most promising new music talent.
This year, British indie rock band The Last Dinner Party won the Award. Olivia Dean was runner-up, as well as Peggy Gou, Tyla, and Elmiene were 3rd, fourth and fifth, each.
Other nominees Caity Baser, CMAT, and Sekou performed at BBC Maida Vale in London.
British singer-songwriter Caity Baser performed “Pretty Boys”, which was released from her 2023 EP “Thanks For Nothing, See You Never”.
Irish singer-songwriter CMAT performed “California”, which is featured on her sophomore album “Crazymad, for Me”.
London-based singer-songwriter Sekou performed his debut song “Better Man”, which was released in May 2023.
British-Sudanese R&B singer-songwriter Elmiene performed “Mad At Fire”, which is featured on the 2023 EP “Marking My Time”.- source : BBC Radio 1
