Ferdous Releases New Song “Mountain Snow”
Amsterdam-based Afghan-Dutch producer Ferdous released a new song “Mountain Snow” on January 5, 2024.
The song will appear on his upcoming EP “Dreamland”, which is set to be released on February 16, 2024 via Faintly Red.
The track was written by Osman Ferdaus Dehzad and produced by Ferdous.
Ferdous said of the song, “For me this is the most thematic song on the EP... I really tried to dive deep into this contradictory state of desperately craving to live my life relentlessly in a time where I was surrounded by loss and transition.”
He continued, “This was my way of trying to breathe new life into myself, to try and break free from the crippling lethargy I had been dealing with for so long. It was really fulfilling to capture this state of mind for myself, even if for other people it might just be a nice dance pop song.”- The accompanying music animated visualizer created by 3D art director Niko Zelenik, who also created the video for Ferdous' previous song “Heartleak”.
Niko Zelenik said of the video, “I started noticing, that to me, this song is about being in a constant state of heartbreak; so that's how the idea of time and consequently the clocktower came to be. The snowy surroundings and atmosphere are not only an obvious nod to the title, but also to the icy, swirling production of the song.”
Ferdous will perform at MakeOutMusic in Los Angeles ahead of the release of the EP on February 15, 2024. - source : Apple Music
