Michael Isaak Releases New Song “hey boy”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Michael Isaak released a new song “hey boy” on November 17, 2023.
The song is the second single off of his upcoming debut EP “Forever is a Scary Word”, which is set to be released on January 12, 2024.
The track serves as a love letter to his younger self, encapsulating the universal experience of growing up and finding one's path.
The track was written and produced by Michael Isaak, with production by Owen Korzec.
Michael Isaak said of the song, “'hey boy' is a song about wishing well to the former versions of yourself, reminding them that everything will be okay, and it'll all work out in the end. There's so much I would say to my younger self, and I wish I could, but I'm also confident he'll be able to figure it all out on his own.”- The debut EP comprises 6-track. The EP is a pop and folk infused portrayal of coming of age in a religious Egyptian-American community, and the eternal struggle between honoring tradition and chasing freedom, illustrated through soft and intimate vocals, dreamy guitar and string patterns, and confessional lyrics.
