Shakira Teams Up With Fuerza Regida for New Song “El Jefe”
Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira teamed up with Mexican regional band Fuerza Regida to release a new song “El Jefe”.
The song is the fifth single off of her upcoming twelfth studio album (yet-untitled).
It is her first full-blown Mexican music song.
The track was written by Shakira, Edge, KEITYN and Spread LOF. Produced by Shakira, KEITYN and Edge.
It follows the story of a man (Fuerza Regida's frontman Jesús Ortíz Paz plays) from a small town who dreams of getting out and becoming a “El Jefe (boss) with potential.”
The accompanying music video was directed by Jora Frantzis, who filmed in Miami.
Mexican-American songwriter-producer Edgar Barrera, who is the most-nominated artist at the Latin Grammys this year, appeared on the videp as a cameo.
Also, Shakira shouts out her longtime nanny Lili Melgar, with the line: “This song is for you, since you weren't paid severance.” on the track.- source : Apple Music
