Mae Muller Releases New Song ”Written By A Woman”
London-based singer-songwriter Mei Mueller will release her highly-anticipated debut album ”Sorry I'm Late” on September 29, 2023.
The album comprises 17-track, including the UK's representative song for the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest, ”I Wrote A Song”.
Mae Muller said, ”I'm really showing a different side of myself on this album: a vulnerable one, one that I haven't spoken about before. I can be strong, sassy, confident, and I can also be sad and have my low moments, but I'm still me... it's just as empowering to show both sides.”
From the album, she unveiled a new song ”Written By A Woman” on September 15, 2023.
The track was written by Mae Muller, Thomas Barnes, Benjamin Kohn, Peter Kelleher, and Sophia Brenan. Produced by TMS and Chris Bishop.- “It's one of my favourite tracks on the album, it's all about the female gaze and speaking about things from a woman's perspective, which feels right to have it as the final track,” Mae Muller said of the song. “I just think that a lot of the time, what men think women find attractive is not true at all - we don't necessarily want an alpha male, we want someone who's in touch with their feminine side and who isn't afraid to show emotion. Being gentle is sexy as hell! There's enough music out there that caters for the male gaze, so I wanted to write about what I find attractive.”
