  • Ed Sheeran Performs “Borderline” & “Curtains” on Apple Music Live 2023

  • British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran performed “Borderline” and “Curtains” at Apple Music Live 2023.

The concert took place at the Eventim Apollo in London on May 10, 2023 and streamed via Apple Music and Apple TV+.
He performed with a 12-piece band and producer Aaron Dessner of Anerican rock band The National.
“I'm delighted to share my Subtract album show with you,” Ed Sheeran said. “I was really nervous on the day, as it was my first time performing the new album tracks. The show was brought to life by Aaron and the incredible band, and it was an honor to stand beside them. It was an emotional night, but I'm so pleased we got to document it.”
Both songs are included on his sixth studio album “- (Subtract)”, which was released on May 5, 2023.
Written by Ed Sheeran, and Aaron Dessner who also produced the tracks.
  • Ed Sheeran told Zane Lowe of Apple Music about the album, “I am who I am, and I'm definitely not a perfect human being. And I do make mistakes, but the album that I've made is about being honest. There's probably stuff in this interview that's going to be sensationalized and make headlines and…I hope people just see me as a human being and not a statistic crazed pop monster.”
He continued, “The reason I've cried during the interview is this is real life for me. This is stuff that I'm still going through, I'm still processing. And I feel like this record is definitely the most human that I've been. I hate it when artists go, 'It's my most personal record yet,' because I feel like each record I put out is super personal. This is just more uncomfortable. I think it's my most uncomfortable record. As I'm getting older, I'm getting less uncomfortable just being comfortable in my own skin, I guess, and not afraid what people think.”
