Hozier Drops New Music Video for “Eat Your Young”
Irish singer-songwriter Hozier has dropped a new music video for “Eat Your Young”.
The video was directed by Jason Lester, starring Hozier and Ukrainian-American actress Ivanna Sakhno.
The song was released from the EP of the same name last month and will appear on his upcoming third studio album “Unreal Unearth”, which is expected to be released later this year.
Hozier said, “I'm excited to share the Eat Your young. I wanted to do something slightly different for this, and put together absurd little theatre piece cansisting of two stages working in tandem with one another...”
He continued, “One stage, viewed by adults, on which the characters lose something as they engage with their world, and another stage, watched by children, where that which has been lost becomes visible.”- He added, “I want to thank the incredible Ivanna Sakhno for bringing her talent, skill, and care to this piece. The marvellous Jillian Meyers for keeping us all in step and the wonderful Han of Handsome Devils Puppets for recreating Ivanna and me for the stage. Thank you also to Jason Lester, our wonderful director, and Laura at Our Secret Handshake. I hope you enjoy our little horror story.”
