London-based Danish singer-songwriter Marie Dahlstrom released a new song “Make It Up To You” on April 6, 2023.
The song will appear on her upcoming sophomore album “A Good Life”, which is set to be released on May 22, 2023 via JFH Records.
This time, she worked with Birmingham-hailing rapper Kofi Stone on the track.
The track was written by Marie Dahlstrom, Kofi Stone, Conor Albert, David Thornton and Jessica Carmody Nathan Produced by Conor Albert.
Marie Dahlstrom said said the song, “Make It Up To You was one of those songs that just came naturally, I love working with Conor Albert (who produced this track) we just have a seamless understanding of each other’s work.”
She continued, “This song is about disagreements, and how to find a way back together. Kofi (Stone) really brought the other side of the argument with his verse. I’ve always loved his music, so it’s an honour having him on the track.”- The new album comprises 12-track, featuring guest appearances from Delleile Ankrah, Sipprell, Kofi Stone, and Jay Prince.
It is her firs album in three years since the 2020 album “Like Sand”.
Marie Dahlstrom said, “I hope that every album I make will convey a sense of honesty to it. This one is based on reflections from a few years of my life with many changes and adjustments. It’s an album about human interaction in all its complexity.” -
