  • Hunter Hayes Releases Two New Songs “Victory” & “About a Boy”

  • American singer-songwriter Hunter Hayes has released two new songs “Victory” and “About a Boy”.

Two songs will appear on his upcoming album “Red Sky”, which is set to be released on April 21, 2023.
“Victory” was written by Frawley, Hunter Hayes and KIN. “About a Boy” was written by Hunter Hayes, Andy Skib and Thomas Finchum.
Both songs were produced by Hunter Hayes and Ruslin Odnoralov.
Hunter Hayes said of the songs, “'Victory' is the final song on the 'Red Sky' track listing because it's an appreciation for all the parts of your past that made you who you are today. It is a celebration of growth. This song sums up 'Red Sky' as a chapter and makes a commitment to move forward with a new outlook.”
He continued, “'About a Boy' is about the challenge of accepting mistakes and confronting regret, while also acknowledging what you could've done better. It's written from several different perspectives and goes from recognizing that someone deserves better, to offering apologies for what you wish you could change.”

The music video for “About a Boy” was directed by Andrew Zaeh.
Hunter Hayes said of the video, “The process of how this video was made is another example of a great team of creative people all collaborating to create something honest and emotional. It was one of 5 videos filmed at a location where finding the piano was a result of drone footage from a previous video. This whole day was all about letting the lyrics paint the picture while showing the narrator in a space of self reflection.”
The new album comprises 15-track. It is his first album as an independent artist.
He said of the album, “I've waited over a decade to say this… My first fully independent album, more than 3 years in the making – RED SKY – will be out everywhere APRIL 21st! This project is about the adventure of finding yourself to be yourself. Musically, it's a road trip from where I've been to where I am. Lyrically, it's for anyone who needs a reminder of how unique your fire inside is and how much the world needs more YOU in it.”
